Promotional Video (Checklist and Template)
Preproduction:
- Set Goal/objective
- The tone of the videos: For example, should they always be quite serious, or will you use humour?
- Use of language: What tone of voice reflects you best? How will you refer to people, products and services consistently?
- Use of colours: These will probably be guided by your existing palette, but a new colour can work well for a new initiative or service.
- If a script is needed, edit and finalize the script at least (one week in advance of the video shoot.)
- Finalize location/travel plans (weeks before shoot )
- Finalize set/setting (weeks before shoot)
- Finalize cast/person(s) speaking in the video (weeks before shoot)
- Gather props/materials if needed (Weeks before shoot)

- Note: Wistia plays best with MP4 files with an h.264 codec, a bitrate between 5,000–10,000 kbps, and a maximum file size of 8 GB.

Max File Size:
- Wistia plays best with MP4 files with an h.264 codec, a bitrate between 5,000–10,000 kbps, and a maximum file size of 8 GB.
- YouTube files greater than 20GB. The maximum file size you'll be able to upload to YouTube is 128GB and the maximum duration is 11 hours.
- Brightcove has tested with uploads as large as 100GB without any issues. When uploading large files, Brightcove recommends setting the Upload Queueing setting to Upload one file at a time.
- Vimeo basic plan users can upload up to 500MB of video every week, while Plus plan users can upload up to 5GB of video every week (with a 5GB maximum file size limit). There's also the Pro plan for customers who are using Vimeo for commercial purposes; this plan offers unlimited uploading with a 25GB limit per file.
